Self-Help Videos Target Young Immigrants

Collaborative effort aims to inform and empower potential "Deferred Action" applicants

From a Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles press release:

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA) and its statewide youth branch, the California Dream Network, in collaboration with private immigration attorney and Los Angeles Family Unity Commissioner Jessica Dominguez, have launched four instructional videos targeting young immigrants applying for “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals”, also known as the immigration relief policy for young immigrants announced by President Obama June 15, 2012.
The self-help videos, ranging from six to fifteen minutes in length, are in English and Spanish. Using a question and answer format, attorney Jessica Dominguez and immigration movement student leader Justino Mora, review and explain how to accurately complete Forms I-821D, I-765, and I-765WS, all three required by USCIS to consider a request for “Deferred Action”.

Videos in English and Spanish for viewing, downloading, and free distribution are available at:
