Family and Friends Remember Victim of Motorcycle Accident

Daily vigils are held and there will be a car wash fundraiser this Saturday to cover burial costs.

Eloisa Gallardo, a cousin of , the young man who was , can't begin to describe her relative without breaking into tears.

"He was a kind boy, always smiling...", she said before emotion overcame her at a prayer vigil held by her relatives on Tuesday night.

"He was a great kid, intelligent, very good to his family", Gallardo said seconds later.

Since Monday, almost a hundred people have gathered at the site of the accident that took Lupian's life last Sunday, June 17, to offer their prayers and condolences.

Even Mayor Manuel Lozano stopped by yesterday to offer his sympathies to the family. "As a resident of this city for 33 years, I can tell you this is a tragedy", said Lozano. "This death has impacted many people and his family".

On the comments section in Patch, relatives and friends have shown an outpour of sentiments in remembrance of the former Sierra Vista student.

"R.I.P primo. U will b forever missed. Thank u for all the great memories. We have lost a great family member. U can never b forgotten. We all
Love u", wrote Eloisa.

Eva Rocha, another relative, wrote: "You will be dearly missed!! R.I.P. Juan Jose Lupian !! I love you primo!!".

"God needed another Angel", added a resident of Baldwin Park.

"Juanito im still in shock !!! Cant think straight for these past days !!! I Love u and i wish u came back ! I know this wasnt ur fault and u didnt deserve this . Thanx for all those times we has as little kids .... i will never forget u !!! Rest in Paradise Juanito !!!!", wrote a woman named Sandra.

According to Lupian's family, there will be a car wash event this Saturday, June 23 at 8:30 a.m. at the parking lot of the Del Taco restaurant at 12690 Ramona Blvd., to help raise funds for Lupian's burial.
