The Baldwin Park Farmers Market is only one of the dozens of open-air markets scattered around Southern California that keep delivering fresh, locally-grown produce to residents.
Last week, the market celebrated its with a demonstration of healthy cooking for families, live country and western music and health education information.
But most of all, the market reminds people about the importance of having an active life and a diet of healthy foods.
The Baldwin Park Farmers Market, a collaboration between Kaiser Permanente and Cal Poly Pomona, is held at 1011 Baldwin Park Blvd., every other Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
There are also farmers markets held in Kaiser Permanete locations in Downey, Pasadena and San Dimas.
