Mettalic Balloons Blamed For Baldwin Park Power Outage

At least 393 customers are impacted close to the area of Arrow Highway and Bleecker Avenue.

Metallic balloons are blamed for a power outage in Baldwin Park Wednesday afternoon, according to the Southern California Edison Power Outage Center.

The outage began around 3:10 p.m. when the balloons struck a power line close to the corner of Arrow Highway and Bleecker Avenue. A total of 393 customers have been affected.

A call to Southern California Edison to get more details about the incident, was not inmediately responded.

The website of SCE Power Outage Center is listing a completion time for repair around 12:00 a.m. on May 9.

"We are retrieving additional equipment and materials for this repair," states the website.
