Baldwin Park Police To Conduct DUI Checkpoints

Police will be checking for drunk and unlicensed drivers today, July 6, at an undisclosed time and location.

The , will be conducting multiple DUI/Driver's license Checkpoints at undisclosed times and locations, within the City of Baldwin Park. 

The operation is part of the “Avoid the 100” campaign, a program that brings law enforcement agencies together to crack down on drinking drivers and reduce the number of alcohol-related deaths and injuries.

"The potential for an impaired driver to become involved in a traffic collision is greater due to a driver's slowed response and poor decision making while under the influence of alcohol or drugs," said officer Ted Espanto.  

"These types of enforcement programs also provide officers an opportunity to educate the driving public in regards to safer driving habits and the consequences of drinking and driving."
