The Baldwin Park Police is warning residents that besides legal consequences, a service fee can be charged to party organizers for all city personnel and equipment costs expended during a second or subsequent visit to a loud party complaint.
According to Stacy Espinoza, the department receives many complaints of loud music and noise from concerned neighbors mostly during summer parties.
Authorities said loud parties and music not only cause disruption to neighborhoods, they also prevent officers from performing duties that are more important and have a greater priority to the residents of Baldwin Park.
"These party calls for service are a serious drain on manpower that leaves other areas of the City exposed to dangerous situations due to the lack of available police." she said in a statement.
The consequence for having repeated officer appearances to parties may lead to the arrest of the party organizer, the party will be dispersed, and the party organizer will be billed for the officers present and documentation of the party incident,, and any arrests that occurred, injuries to officers, and damage to public property.
"Please help maintain peace in your neighborhoods by being considerate," she added.
Police recommend to give out your phone number to your neighbors so that they call you instead of the police when they have a complaint.
