Local Official Offers $10,000 Reward for Information Leading to Arrest of Fatal Hit and Run Driver
County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas asked for the public's help in finding the hit-and-run killer of a man who died at a Lynwood hospital.
A $10,000 reward was being offered today for information leading to the arrest of a hit-and-run driver who killed a 38-year-old man dead and injured the man's 7-year-old daugher.
At about 5:50 p.m. June 6, Jose Arreola and his daughter were crossing Santa Ana Boulevard in a crosswalk at Watts Avenue in the Willowbrook area when the driver of a Cadillac Escalade pulled out from behind a stopped vehicle and hit both of them, according to County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas.
The suspect was described as a heavy-set man in his 20s with short hair and a goatee. The vehicle was a 2000 to 2006 pearl-white Cadillac Escalade with 22- to 24-inch chrome rims.
