En la antigua fotografía, aparece un grupo de marineros con sus trajes oficiales ante una fila de carros antiguos, en medio de la gran concurrencia durante la inauguración. Detrás de estos autos se encuentra el bulevar Ramona.
En la foto actual se pueden apreciar los juegos infantiles modernos, que fueron instalados para los residentes de la ciudad.

In our first installment of a series we named "Then & Now", Patch Latino returns to the past at one of the most popular places in the city: Morgan Park.
Thanks to the picture from the book: Images of America - Baldwin Park by Arcadia Publishing, we could travel back in time to the inauguration of the Park.
Richard Benbow, curator of the says there was a time when a "The Plunge" was the main attraction at this recreation area.
In the vintage picture, a long line of cars shows the large attendance during opening day. The three sailors by the cars are wearing their dress whites with bell-bottom trousers. Behind them is Ramona Boulevard.
The contemporary picture shows the main entrance to the modern park with an almost new kids' playground.
The 128-page book, with numerous pictures of people and places in Baldwin Park's history, is available from Arcadia Publishing for $21.99 plus shipping.
