"Family Dollar" To Open In Baldwin Park
The North Carolina company will open a store in the Park Plaza shopping center.
At least one of the various empty commercial spaces in the Park Plaza Shopping Center in Baldwin Park will be occupied soon by the Family Dollar chain, which plans to open a store in the city.
Family Dollar will be located next to the Superior Warehouse market in the Park Plaza Shopping Center on Maine St. and Ramona Blvd.

The shopping area recently saw a open its doors there.
The Family Dollar chain is part of the Fortune 500 list, with earnings of over seven billion dollars. It employs more than 40 thousand people around the United States.

It is specialized in essential necessity products, and according to their website, they are focused on serving women with income levels below $40 thousand per year.
There are at least 6,800 stores in 44 states and, until now, the closest to Baldwin Park were two in West Covina and one in Whittier.
Patch tried to contact the company last week to obtain an official opening date and estimated number or jobs the store will create, but have received no response yet.
