Mayor Manuel Lozano presented a state of the city address to residents of Baldwin Park on Friday.
The mayor highlighted , which ended 2011 with a $5.5 million general fund cash balance despite lower revenues.
Lozano also emphasized that Baldwin Park is among the safest cities in the San Gabriel Valley, with one of the lowest crime rates reported in 2011. He further pointed to the city's efforts to improve Baldwin Park's economy, its transportation, and the health of its residents.
