A vehicle-to-vehicle shooting today near an Industry-area high school left two men wounded, one fatally.
The gunfire erupted at Altario Street and Gendel Drive about 10 a.m. An occupant of one vehicle drove a short distance to the area of Nogales High School, in the 18900 block of East Northam Street, and died at that location, the sheriff's department reported.
His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives. The survivor was airlifted to a hospital, but his condition was unknown.
The high school was briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution while an investigation was conducted. No arrests were reported.

According to the SGV Tribune the West Covina High School was also on lockdown for about 30 minutes.
