Unemployment Rate Slightly Dropped in Baldwin Park
The unemployment rate for October was 12.9 percent, a decrease from the 13.9 percent reported just two months ago.
Unemployment rate in Baldwin Park has dropped to 12.9 percent in October, a decrease according to the latest figures of the California Employment Development Department (EDD).
The numbers came as the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Los Angeles County also dropped to 10.6 percent in September, down from 11 percent in August.
Baldwin Park had 4,300 people without employment in October, out of its 33,100 workforce.

In July 2012, Baldwin Park reached a 14.8 percent unemployment rate, with 4,900 persons without a job.
The 10.5 percent unemployment rate in L.A County was below the 12.2 percent rate reported in October 2011, according to the EDD.

California's jobless rate was 10.1 percent in October, down from 10.2 percent in September and down from October 2011, when the rate was 11.5 percent, according to the EDD.
The comparable estimates for the nation were 7.9 percent in October, 7.8 percent in September and 8.9 percent a year ago.
