Where to See Floats Before and After Rose Parade

There will be plenty of opportunity to see the intricately-decorated floats before and after the parade.

For more than 120 years the Rose Parade has rung in the new year with intricately-decorated floats, music and sports.

You can catch an up-close glimpse of the floats at designated times and locations before or after the parade held on Jan. 1.

The 2013 parade theme is "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" borrowed from children's book author Dr. Seuss.

Tickets to see the floats can be purchased for $10 per person and are limited to venue capacity. Children 5 years old and under are free.

Thousands of people from all over are expected to attend.

I loved the "Journey of the Hearts" float that honored organ donors from all over the US. My uncle William Bohanan's portrait was on that float. Even though I couldn't be there to see it in person it touches my heart to be able to see it on tv!
