Gordo, The Abused Puppy Begins Life With New Family

He will be going home with his new family on Tuesday, said officials with the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care & Control (DACC).

"Gordo", a four-month pit bull mix puppy, who was brought to the after being rescued from an abusive owner will be going home with his new family on Tuesday, said officials with the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care & Control (DACC). 

Some may remember him . Gordo had been thrown against a wall and repeatedly kicked by his former owner.

According to Evelina Villa, spokesperson from DACC, Gordo’s injuries were too extensive to be repaired within the routine resources of shelter medicine.

However, the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation’s (ACF) Dreams Come True program was able to provide a means by which generous donors could donate money to pay for the specialized medical care Gordo needed.
