Free Spay and Neuter Surgeries for Pets

The benefit are exclusively for residents of Baldwin Park and El Monte.

In an effort to reduce the number of unwanted animals that end up in the , “Actors and Others for Animal” provide free spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs for the residents of El Monte and Baldwin Park.

The organization, that works with the Jason Debus Heigl, Rachael Ray Nutrish foundations and the Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC), will provide this service to pet owners who live in the following zip codes: 91731, 91732, 91733 in El Monte and 91706 in Baldwin Park.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for residents who own pets in these cities,” DACC spokesman Aaron Reyes mentioned. 

According to Lance Hunter, manager of the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter, spay and neuter .

Those interested in taking advantage of this service should call 818-755-6045 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday to register for the pet surgery. 

People will be directed to one of the three veterinary hospitals in the area. 

There is a limit of 5 pets per household. People will be required to show a photo ID or a current utility bill to the hospital at the time of surgery. There are no other requirements. Only those living within these zip codes are eligible.
