Metro to Hold Street Cycling Course in Baldwin Park

The county Metropolitan Transportation Agency is hosting a free bike street skills workshop on August 31 in Baldwin Park that will focus on how to cycle safely and confidently on city and residential streets in L.A. County.

The 8-hour course includes classroom instruction, a bicycle handling practice, session, on-road riding, and a short exam at the end of class, according to the Metro website.

Each class participant will receive a free helmet, front & rear lights, and educational materials.  Participants must have a bike in reasonable working order.

There are also additional classes in other cities in the county for those who cannot make the August 31 event.  All events require pre-registration and space is limited. Registration is done on the Metro website.
