Well, we know playing involves balance, coordination of small and large muscles, speed, space, texture, etc. etc....but how much of that has been lost sitting behind the screen?
Stuff that we used to do while playing, prepared the brain to learn, and, it's a natural part of childhood development. But when was the last time your kids played jacks, hopscotch, jump rope, or climbed a tree?
