Funeral services for Fidel Vargas Sr, father of former mayor Fidel Vargas Jr. will include a vigil/rosary tonight Thursday April 19 at 8:00 pm at in Baldwin Park.
According to the official facebook page of actual mayor Manuel Lozano, Mr. Vargas succumb to cancer last week.
"It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of a wonderful friend, a true family patriarch and a wonderful active Baldwin Park Resident" he said in its page. "Our prayers and thoughts are with the Vargas family."
There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 10:00 am in the same church located at 3883 Baldwin Park Blvd.
A burial service following mass will be held on Queen of Heaven Cemetery in 2161 S. Fullerton Road, Rowland Heights, CA 91748.

Esta noche habrá una vigilia y rosario por la muere de Fidel Vargas Sr, padre del ex edil de esta ciudad, Fidel Vargas Jr. a las 8:00 de la noche en la de Baldwin Park.
También habrá una misa el viernes 20 de Abril en la misma iglesia a las 10 de la mañana. Posteriormente se realizará el entierro en el Cementerio Queen of Heaven de Rowland Heights.
