A Woman and Child Missing Are Found Safe

A 68-year-old woman and her grandchild had been missing for most of the day, said El Monte Police officials.

A missing 68 year-old woman and her baby grandchild, missing through most of today, have been found in Pasadena, El Monte police said.

Ying Wah Tan Jer and her 18 month-old grandson, Bryant Tan, were found by Pasadena police sometime after 8 p.m., El Monte police Corporal Aram Choe said. They reported their find to their counterparts in El Monte at 8:35 p.m.

Choe said Jer and Bryant were safely in the care of Pasadena police.

This marked a successful conclusion to a daylong search for the pair, reported missing after Jer failed to return to the family home on the 4400 block of La Madera Avenue from her usual 7 a.m walk with her grandson.
