Autopsy Pending on Baby Girl Found at Industry Trash Facility

The infant looked to be full term and in good health, according to investigators.

A worker at the facility, which City News Services reported was Athens Services, found the baby girl just before 2 p.m., according to authorities. The trash the baby was discovered in had been collected Monday from various cities around the San Gabriel Valley and brought to the the facility in Industry, according to a news release.

An autopsy is pending, which will help determine if the baby was still born or if she was alive and dumped into the trash after her birth. The investigation is ongoing.
