Baldwin Park Teens Suspected of Attempted Murder

Three men are arrested and booked on charges of attempted murder for a shooting over the weekend that wounded a woman.

Three men arrested and charged with attempted murder for allegedly participating in a weekend shooting that wounded a Monrovia woman will be arraigned in a Los Angeles Superior Court room Tuesday, police said.

Joseph Munoz, 20, of Monrovia, Carlos Torres, 19, of Baldwin Park and Ricardo Camacho, 19, of Baldwin Park were arrested for their alleged participation in a shooting late Saturday evening that sent a woman to the hospital with wounds to her torso and right leg, according to police.

The woman was sitting on the front porch of a home in the 100 block of East Los Angeles Avenue just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday when she was struck by gunfire from a shotgun, police said. A maroon colored van was seen fleeing the scene, and police who were already in the area for a loud disturbance call were able to track down the van and pull it over on Ramona Boulevard off the 605 freeway, according to Monrovia Sgt. Don Newton. The three men were then arrested.
