Baldwin Park Police have cordoned off a neighborhood as they searched for a suspect after an officer-involved shooting, Lt. David Reynoso said.

Officers responded around 11:00 a.m on Wednesday in the 4400 Block of Merced Avenue, after they received a call reporting a suspicious person probably using narcotics, said Reynoso.

Agents with the Baldwin Park Police confronted the suspect and an officer involved shooting ocurred. The suspect fled the scene and authorities continue searching for the suspect who is believed to be armed.
