Baldwin Park Resident Dies in Motorcycle Accident

Gilbert Santos, 32, died after loosing control of his motorcycle on the 134 Freeway, near Glendale.

California Highway Patrol officials were investigating Monday the causes of an accident that occurred this Sunday on the 134 Freeway near Glendale, where a resident of Baldwin Park died after he crashed his motorcycle against the metal guardrail.

Authorities identified the driver of the Honda CBR 250 as Gilbert Y. Santos, a  32-years-old resident of Baldwin Park. 

According to police reports, the accident took place at 8:55 in the morning on April 29th when Santos was heading westbound on the 134 Freeway, just west of the intersection with the I-5, near Glendale.

The speed of the collision as well as why Santos lost control of his motorcycle is still under investigation. The motorcycle ended up crashing into the metal guardrail.

The driver was ejected due to the crash and resulted with fatal wounds all over his body.

He was declared dead at the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
