Baldwin Park Residents Arrested in El Monte To Be Arraigned

Adrian Aguiniga and Luis Díaz were arrested after a brief police chase in neighboring city.

Two Baldwin Park residents will be charged this week after being arrested in El Monte, following a brief chase by officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD)

Adrian Aguiniga, 25, has been accused of evading police officers and will be charged this Wednesday at the El Monte Court, according to prisoner information from the LASD.

Luis Díaz, 26, will be charged on Thursday, May 31 for violating conditions of his parole.

Both men were arrested on May 25 in El Monte, after deputies tried to detain them on the corner of Santa Anita Ave. and West Hondo Pkwy., according to the SGV Tribune.

Lt. Ignacio Samoano, from the Sheriff Department, told the Tribune that Aguiniga was driving erratically when he was spotted by a deputy.

The car chase started at Santa Anita Ave, with the suspects running several stop signs and driving on the wrong side of the road, until they surrendered near Vista Lane. 

Both suspects were arrested on the spot. Another passenger who was also in the vehicle was released.
