Investigators from the L.A. County Department of Coroner identified Monday a Baldwin Park man in an Azusa city street.
Carl Edwin Johnson, a 55-year-old male caucasian, died on Friday, June 8, after firing a gun against his head, said forensic authorities.
According to Azusa Police reports, officers responded to shots fired near the block 1775 San Gabriel Rd. around 8:45 p.m. last Friday.
Officers found the man's body in the shrubs west of the roadway with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The investigation as of why Johnson took his life is still ongoing.
