Bicyclist Injured in Baldwin Park Shooting
The bicyclist sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh around 8:15 p.m. on Merced and Palm avenues, according to a local newspaper.
Authorities continue to investigate the shooting of a 30 year-old man who was riding a bike close to the 4200 block of Merced Avenue, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
The incident was reported around 8:15 p.m., Monday night close to the intersection of Merced and Palm avenues, Baldwin Park police Lt. Joe Cowan said to the newspaper. The bicyclist sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh.
Authorities said the man was riding on his bicycle south on Merced when someone shot him multiple times from a dark-colored compact car.

The shooting is just another one in a spate of shootings that have occurred in the city since October.
The newspaper reported the incident came to the attention of authorities after a staff at local hospital called about a gunshot victim at the location. The injury was described as a non-life threatening.

There was no description of suspects. Baldwin Park Police are asking people with any information about the shooting to call 626-960-1955.
