A pregnant woman was injured today when her Sedan collided with an SUV in the corner of Maine Avenue and Los Angeles Street, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
The accident occured around 9:15 a.m., according to Lt. David Reynoso,
Reynoso said the sedan was traveling South on Maine Avenue and the SUV was traveling East on Los Angeles Street. Both collided in the intersection.
The SUV flipped over to the side and the sedan continued and struck a tree.
The sedan was driven by a pregnant 37-year-old female who was transported to a local hospital after experiencing unknown trauma, police reports said.
The driver of the SUV was a 28-year-old female driver. She was transported to a local hospital with lacerations and complaints of pain to the head.
Initial reports from Los Angeles County Fire Department said both were apparently trapped inside their vehicle.
Several units responded to the scene.
