Coroner Confirms ID of Baldwin Park Shooting Victim

The dead man was identified by coroner's officials as Steven Reyes of Baldwin Park. His brother died in a similar way last June.

A 22-year-old man killed in a car-to-car shooting in Baldwin Park was officialy identified Sunday by coroner's officials as Steven Reyes of Baldwin Park.

The victim had been identified unofficially by friends as Steven Reyes on Friday. His brother was also killed in a similar way in June of this year.

The fatal shooting in the 3800 block of Maine Avenue was reported at 1:06 a.m. on Friday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Both victims were taken to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead and the other was listed in stable condition, officials said.

Sheriff's homicide detectives were sent to assist Baldwin Park police in the shooting investigation.

Authorities urged anyone with information about the shooting to call sheriff's homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.

Hummm hummm lies these bp detectives aren't doing anything on both of the Reyes cases these detectives are full of it such as the cops they let crime pass by like nothing and lie to the media smh shameful but sad to say is easy to get away with crime in b.p! But this won't last long ppl are tired of it and our voice will be heard! Let the society know what kind of cops are taking care of us! RIP GUILLERMO AND STEVEN!
