From a Covina Police Deparment Press Release:
The Covina Police Department is seeking help from the public in identifying the following persons and/or any information about the incident that occurred shortly after midnight on August 26, 2012.
That day at approximately 3:45 a.m., Covina Police Department Dispatch received a call regarding a subject being treated for a gunshot wound at an area hospital. Covina Police Detectives gathered information and eventually located a crime scene in the parking lot of Katie Jakes Bar located at 750 S. Terrado Plaza in the city of Covina.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 34 year-old male patron of the bar, was involved in a verbal altercation with a male suspect who was accompanied by a female. After the verbal altercation took place within the bar, the victim, suspect and female companion were escorted out of the bar by security.
A short time later, a shooting took place in the parking lot of the bar and the victim was transported to an area hospital by his friends where he was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The suspect and his female companion were seen leaving the area in a late model charcoal gray sedan, possibly a Toyota or Hyundai.
Suspect #1- A male White or Hispanic, approximately 6 feet tall weighing 250 pounds. This suspect is bald and has facial hair similar to a goatee. He is approximately 40-50 years of age and has tattoos on both arms. One specific tattoo is a Mexican flag with multiple colors. At the time of the incident, this suspect was wearing a grey tank-top, tennis shoes, and blue jeans. Covina Police Detectives suspect this subject as the person who shot the victim.
Suspect #2- A female Hispanic, approximately 5 feet 4 inches, straight brown hair, 40-50 years of age with a possible cheetah print/spots tattoo on her left wrist and forearm. She was wearing a tank top and ripped blue jeans.
