Fire Damaged House in Baldwin Park

The blaze was reported at 3:15 p.m. in the 4600 block of Walnut Street, near Walnut Elementary School,

A fire broke out today at a home in Baldwin Park, but no one was harmed, a city fire official said.

The blaze was reported at 3:15 p.m. in the 4600 block of Walnut Street,  near Walnut Elementary School, according to Inspector Tony Imbrenda of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

"Units arriving at the scene reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the structure,'' Imbrenda said.

The blaze continued to burn as of 3:30 p.m., with about 50 firefighters at the location, Imbrenda said.
