Man Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing His Grandmother in Pico Rivera
The victim's husband called 911 after walking into the front room of the home and finding his wife had been stabbed numerous times by his grandson.
A 76-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition today after being stabbed repeatedly by her 22-year-old live-in grandson, who has been arrested, authorities said.
The stabbing in a residence in the 5500 block of Bridgeview Avenue was reported around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Lt. J. Mendoza of the Los Angeles County sheriff's Pico Rivera Station.
The victim's husband called 911 after walking into the front room of the home and finding his wife had been stabbed numerous times by his grandson, identified as Joseph Torres, Mendoza said.

Deputies found the suspect on the front porch of the house and detained him. They later found a knife in a basket on the porch, Mendoza said.
"During the investigation, deputies learned that a brief argument between the grandmother and her grandson possibly led to the stabbing,'' he said.

Torres was being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles in lieu of $1.01 million bail, according to sheriff's online booking records.
