Man Died During Altercation With El Monte Police
Authorities report also another man shot dead in El Monte during an unrelated incident.
A man involved in a domestic dispute in El Monte died when he got into an altercation with police, a sheriff's deputy said Friday.
El Monte police responded to a family disturbance call in the 2700 block of Caminar Avenue around 10:56 p.m. Thursday, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Benjamin Grubb.
The suspect got into a fight with the officers, who noticed while they were detaining the man that he was having ``medical complications,'' Grubb said.

They called emergency medical personnel, who took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, he said.
Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives are assisting El Monte police in investigating the fatality.

In another unrelated incident, a man was shot around 9:40 p.m. Thursday in the 11500 block of Medina Court, in El Monte said Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Peter Gomez.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Gomez said.
Los Angeles County sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives were assisting El Monte police with the investigation.
