Man Robbed In Chase Bank Parking Lot

The victim was robbed of an envelope full of money after leaving the bank.

A man was violently robbed after leaving a in Baldwin Park, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported Friday.

According to statements made by Sgt. Mark Harvey to the Tribune, the man had withdrawn a "significant amount" of cash around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, at the Chase branch on 14483 Ramona Blvd.

The victim was about to enter his vehicle in the parking lot when a presumed assailant snatched an envelope full of money that the victim had in his shirt pocket.

The thief ran to a car waiting nearby, with another person driving, and took off.

Police haven't stated whether surveillance cameras captured the suspect or the incident.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 19-20 years old, light brown hair, wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans.
