UPDATE: Man Shot Dead In South El Monte Identified

UPDATED June 19, 9:00 a.m.: A man fatally shot in South El Monte was
identified today.

William Ruesga, 27, of El Monte, died at the scene of the shooting  in the 10700 block of Weaver Avenue about 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to sheriff's deputies and coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

The man died at the scene of the shooting, which occurred about 8 a.m., according to Sgt. Diane Hecht of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

The SGV Tribune reported  one resident heard several shots being fire. 

No arrests were immediately reported.
