(VIDEO) Person Airlifted to Hospital After Car Accident in Baldwin Park
The 10 freeway was closed in both directions for about 15 minutes so a medical helicopter could land and pick up the victim
UPDATED 7:10 a.m.: A person was injured today when a van crashed on the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Baldwin Park, authorities said.
The crash near Puente Avenue was reported about 5:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Firefighters cut the injured person from the vehicle, which crashed into the center divider.
The freeway in both directions was closed for about 15 minutes starting around 6:15 a.m. so a medical helicopter could land and pick up the victim, whose condition was not immediately reported. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.

The San Bernardino 10 Freeway has just been reopened after it was closed for a few minutes near Puente Avenue in Baldwin Park so a medical helicopter could land there and pick up a person who was injured in a traffic crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to the California Highway Patrol incident log a cargo van collisioned into a barrier wall. The crash occurred at about 5:45 a.m.
Fire-rescue workers removed at least one person from the van reported NBC Los Angeles.
The accident happened just in front of the Laidlaw's Harley-Davidson building.
Both directions of the freeway were closed for about 20 minutes. Traffic is still slow from Citrus Avenue.
