Baldwin Park Police Department Launches New Web Site

The new Web site lists special units and public services, including DUI checkpoints, at www.baldwinparkpolice.com.

If you want to know when to expect the city's next DUI checkpoint, how to pay for an infraction or where to obtain a car accident report, www.baldwinparkpolice.com can provide all that information in one place.

The Baldwin Park Police Department launched its official, renovated Web site a week ago to improve community outreach and get feedback from Baldwin Park residents.

"For the past few years we were part of the city's Web site, but now we have a site where all the information has been gathered," said Lt. David Reynoso.

"We will include more information and we want to do it with the public's feedback," Reynoso added.

The police department Web site now includes an event calendar where you can find out the latest on police activities. For example, DUI and driver's license checkpoints are set for March 16 and 17.

According to Reynoso, the site cost less than $2,800. It will be maintained by the department's civilian personnel.

Visitors to www.baldwinparkpolice.com can also learn about the department's emergency services and office hours for other needs, such as obtaining accident reports and paying for traffic infractions.

Through the Web site, residents can report crimes and learn important details about the various departments, such as the gang activity prevention unit, detective and air bureaus, and its boot camp and Police Explorers programs.

"Please take the time to browse our Web site for what I hope will be useful information," said Police Chief Lili Hadsell, in a letter to the public on the Web site.

"Don’t hesitate to let us know how we can improve our Web site to better serve you," she said.
