Police Search For Driver Who Ran Over Pedestrian

The hit-and-run incident happened Wednesday around 8:50 p.m. as the victim attempted to cross Ramona Blvd.

A driver who ran over a pedestrian on Ramona Blvd. is still at large as officers from the Baldwin Park Police Department continue their search for the suspect. The victim survived the incident.

According to BPPD spokesperson Lt. David Reynoso, the event took place on Wednesday at 8:50 p.m., as the victim attempted to cross Ramona Blvd. east of Stewart St.

Witnesses told investigators that the driver was in a dark-colored Honda headed west on Ramona and took off after the impact, headed north on Stewart.

Authorities said the victim was consuming alcohol and crossing the road far away from the designated pedestrian zone.

The victim, who was not identified, suffered head trauma and swelling of the left eye, plus a six-inch laceration to the forehead, and was then transported to the hospital under stable condition.
