A South Gate police motorcycle officer was hurt today in a collision in Industry, but his injuries did not appear to be serious, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before 7 a.m. at Baldwin Park Boulevard and Temple Avenue, said sheriff's Lt. A. Scott of the Industry Station.
Paramedics took the injured officer to a hospital for treatment of injuries that included abrasions, Scott said.
The officer was northbound on Baldwin Park Boulevard when his motorcycle collided with a southbound vehicle that turned left at Temple Avenue, Scott said.
No citations were issued, according to Scott, who said the crash was under investigation.
