One 17 year-old student was arrested Wednesday after authorities reported that two male students got into a fight and one teen stabbed the othe in front of Bassett High School in La Puente.
The stabbing occurred about 3 p.m. at the school at 904 N. Willow Ave., according to the watch commander of the Industry sheriff's station.
The boy was stabbed three times, but his wounds were not considered life- threatening, the lieutenant said, adding that the other teen was being sought.
He said he did not know what triggered the brawl.
The victim was taken to County-USC Medical Center for treatment. The victim has been reported in a stable condition.
