Three Dead in Apparent Hacienda Heights Murder-Suicide Named
The two women died on the scene while the man died on the way to the hospital.
Authorities today released the names of an 84- year-old man, his 85-year-old wife and their 62-year-old daughter-in-law who all died in an apparent murder-suicide at a home in Hacienda Heights.
Sheriff's deputies were dispatched around 9 a.m. Wednesday to the home in the 15900 block of Ladysmith Street. Authorities in response to a 911 call that had been placed by a man inside the house who reported gunshot victims at the residence.
Coroner's Lt. Renee Grand Pre said investigators found the bodies of 85- year-old Carol Crabtree and her 62-year-old daughter-in-law, Rita Delehanty, inside the home, while the older woman's husband, Daniel Crabtree, was found in the backyard. He died on the way to a hospital.

Two weapons, a shotgun and a handgun, were recovered in the backyard.
Sheriff's Capt. Tim Murakami said one of the women was found in a bedroom, and the other was found in a family room.

The shootings were being investigated as an apparent double murder- suicide, said Deputy Kim Manatt of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
