Five people were hurt today, including two who were stabbed, during an early morning brawl at a house party in unincorporated Bassett, just South of Baldwin Park.
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 300 block of Santa Mariana Avenue at 2:21 a.m., said Sgt. Mark Stonich of the sheriff's Industry Station.
"They found two people stabbed, two hit with bottles and one person hit with a chair,'' Stonich said.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics treated three patients, said dispatch supervisor Bernard Peters. Two had moderate injuries, one minor. One was transported to a trauma center.
A black Jaguar was seen leaving the house with up to six suspects inside, Stonich said. Deputies followed it with the help of a helicopter crew, and a five-minute pursuit resulted at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour.
The car pulled over at Orange and Cameron avenues in West Covina, he said, and four adults and two juveniles were arrested, Stonich said.
An unrelated incident took place near the Santa Mariana Avenue house, he said. A white Toyota sedan ran into a fire hydrant and a utility pole at 2:36 a.m. at Baldwin Park Boulevard and Temple Avenue. The driver ran away.
