A 90-year-old woman died when she was ejected from a vehicle that was broadsided in a West Covina intersection, a police lieutenant said today.
The collision occurred at about 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lark Ellen and Merced Avenues, according to West Covina police Lt. David Lee.
The woman, who was a passenger in the broadsided car, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lee.
Both the driver of the broadsided car and the driver of the car that struck it were transported to hospitals for treatment of injuries, he said.
The accident is under investigation, but speed and D.U.I. are possible causes, according to Lee.
