Woman Sought In Attempted Bank Robbery In Baldwin Park

Authorities suspect the same person is responsible for a bank robbery in Temple City.

Police are after a woman who attempted to rob a bank unsuccessfuly in Baldwin Park on Thursday, informed the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

According to statements by Sgt. Mark Harvey of the Baldwin Park Police Department, the woman tried to rob the Wells Fargo branch located on the 14460 block of Merced Avenue.

The incident took place at 10 a.m. The suspect entered the building and handed a note to the cashier demanding money, and implying she was carrying a firearm.

However, something startled the suspect and she took off without getting any money, Harvey said to the Tribune.

According to the FBI, the woman is also a suspect in a robbery in Temple City.

The suspect was described as an African american female, around 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches, and around 200 lbs.
