Baldwin Park to Ratify New Public Works Director

Public Works Director, Daniel Wall, replaces William Galvez who resigned in June 2012.

The Baldwin Park City Council will discuss Wednesday night to consider ratification of the employment agreement for the new city Public Works Director, Daniel Wall.

Wall, who began his employment on January 7, replaces William Galvez who resigned in June 2012.

According to a staff report, Wall will have a base annual compensation of $140,000 a year and his future salary adjustments will be based upon annual performance evaluations.

The new director will oversee a Department of Public Works that is divided into three Divisions: Engineering, Landscape Maintenance and Street Maintenance Environmental. 

The Department of Public Work's services in Baldwin Park encompass 108 miles of streets; 106 miles of sewers; 8,800 parkway trees; 160 storm drain structures; 27 alleys; street signs; 2,560 street lights; 122 safety lights; and 61 traffic signal Maintenance of the City's 250 curb miles includes street sweeping, curb marking, and curb and gutter repair.

The meeting will be inside the Council Chambers in City Hall at 7 p.m.
