Republican and Democrat Roger Hernández pulled the most votes in the 48th Assembly race Tuesday—each scoring a spot on the November ballot.
With 227 precincts fully reported as of June 6, 2012 at 4:43 a.m. Gardner brought in 45.6 percent of the votes with a total of 12,609 votes and Hernández brought 43.4 % with a total of 11,997 votes.
Independent candidate Mike Meza got 11% of the votes with 3,038.
The actual representative for the 57th Assembly District, Hernández, raised about $101,522 leading up to June 5, according to the Secretary of State website.
Joe Gardner, did not have any campaign records filed with the state - according to state officials.
