Traffic Light Installation Completed at Willow and Badillo

Authorities say the new light will improve safety for pedestrians and students.

A memorandum from Edwin Galvez, Director of Public Works, that will be presented in a City Council meeting tomorrow, said the project was completed on March 16th.

The project, which started in August of 2011, will benefit students who exit through the north side of school and have to walk across Badillo St. It will also include paving for a section of the road, traffic signals, and new flower beds and sidewalks. The estimated cost is $142,000.

Similar construction projects are still pending in other locations, such as the where a teenager was ran over by a drunk driver.
