Baldwin Park HS Students Earn Scholarships

SCE Federal Credit Union selected the applications from students of the communities surrounding Boyle Heights, Duarte, Irwindale, Lynwood and Ontario.

SCE Federal Credit Union has selected 11 Students as recipients of their 2012 scholarship award.

For the third consecutive year, 14 outstanding area high school seniors from low-income households were presented with $1,000 to help further their education.

Funded by the SCE Federal Credit Union Foundation, which has been conducting financial literacy workshops in local high schools for the past eight years, the scholarship program is designed to help high-achieving, financially challenged students who have participated in the workshops pay for college.
