Fair Intended to Draw Student Interest in College

The Free Greater Los Angeles National College Fair is set for 6 p.m. April 30 at the Pasadena Conference Center.

A fair coming to the area later this month is intended to educate students about their options for attending college.

The Greater Los Angeles National College Fair is set for 6 p.m. April 30 at the Pasadena Conference Center. It will be free and open to the public.

The event will be sponsored by the National Association for College Admission Counseling and playing host will be the Western Association for College Admission, according to organizers.

Selecting a college can be daunting for students and their parents, so college fairs are a good way to get information about the availability and types of financial aid and what sort of a fit particular institutions might make.

Complete information about this National College Fair can be found here.

The fair allows students and parents to meet one-on-one with admission representatives from national and international, public and private, two-year and four-year colleges and universities, according to organizers.

“The resources and opportunities that the National College Fairs provide for students and their families are invaluable,” said Greg Ferguson, NACAC Director of National College Fairs Programs and Services, “... admission professionals have been delighted by the caliber of students attending our programs.”

Students can register before the event date.

By registering, students can print a bar coded confirmation to be used on-site at the fair as an electronic ID.  Register online here
