Covina Home Tour Scavenger Hunt

Energy Upgrade California in Los Angeles County along with The City of Covina  will host the Covina Home Tour Scavenger Hunt and Energy Efficiency Expo on Saturday, July 28th. This unique event will allow residents and members of surrounding communities to participate in a scavenger hunt at four energy-efficient homes in Covina, win energy efficiency prizes for the home and learn how to make money-saving home energy enhancements to their own homes.

Participants, who can walk, bike, or use personal vehicles to visit each location along the four-house Scavenger Hunt, will be provided clues and questions/clues along the way in order to be entered in a drawing to win an assortment of valuable energy efficiency prizes.   Participants will have two hours, starting at 10:00 a.m., to complete the challenges and return to Kahler Russell Park for the conclusion of the event, at which time prizes will be distributed.

Participants can arrive anytime between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. at Kahler Russell Park, 735 N. Glendora Avenue in Covina for check-in and/or registration.  Participants are encouraged to pre-register at www.sgvcog.org/energyupgrade. Those who pre-register will begin the Hunt at 9:45 a.m. Day-of registrants will begin the Hunt at 10:00 a.m. The Scavenger Hunt is not a competitive race so there are no incentives to finish first.  Participants have until 12 noon to complete the hunt.
