Baldwin Park Transportation Center Almost Ready (PHOTOS)

The construction began in the second week of April 2012 and it was estimated the center would be completed in one year or less.

More than 500 parking spaces for travelers in Baldwin Park will be available soon as the construction of the Baldwin Park Transportation Center is almost done.

The construction began in the second week of April 2012 and it was estimated the center would be completed in one year or less.

To this date the City has no set an official date for its opening.

The construction of the transportation center is part of a plan to develop the downtown area and promote public transit.

The project cost was around $9.5 million. The project was funded in part by $3.5 million from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Proposition C funding and grants received from the Federal Transit Administration.
